Description

Tahoe DSLAM is a G.shdsl+ concentrator for installations where many copper lines converge in one place. The 3U 19" rack-mount enclosure holds eight modem cards, a management card and two power supplies.

Power supply

Two independent power supplies with separate mains connectors work redundantly. The concentrator runs on one of them when the other fails, and a faulty power supply is replaced without switching the device off.

Management card

It has a 4" colour LCD display, a four-button keypad, an Ethernet port and a serial console. From one place it collects statistics, configures the modems and gives access to the serial console of every card over the internal bus.

Modem cards

The four-port Tahoe 4681 card allows up to 32 G.shdsl+ lines to be served in a single cabinet. Each line works independently or bonded within the card, up to 22.8 Mbps on four pairs.
